Tucked into the valley formed by the Big Macks Creek and Jersey Ridge, CampPowhatan is the largest council-owned Scout
camp in the United States. The big camp atmosphere of Powhatan surrounds you with excitement from morning flags till evening
taps. Whether learning new skills in one of our merit badge programs or participating in one of the many evening activities, Scouts
and Scouters alike will have fun living the Scout Oath and Law. The foundation of any base camp program is merit badge instruction. From Archery to
Wilderness Survival, our experienced staff will help your Scouts master skills in over 30 different areas. In addition to traditional camp offerings, Powhatan also boasts two
high adventure merit badges: Whitewater and Climbing & Rappelling. Participants will also enjoy extensive camping facilities such as the internet equipped
Scoutmaster Lounge or the brand new Nature Lodge. Leaders will have the opportunity to complete various BSA trainings throughout the week.
